Hello Summer! Our favorite time of year is here. There is so much to do in the outdoors hiking, mountain biking, camping, fly fishing, river rafting and then so much to do in town as well. Best of June
- Sun Valley Brewfest: June 17
- A beer festival showcasing some of the finest craft beers from Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Come meet brewers and taste great suds while listening to music and eating great food. Festival Meadows, Sun Valley. 12-5 p.m. For tickets visit sunvalleybrewfest.com.
- Summer Solstice Event: June 20
- Come celebrate the longest day of the year with food, drinks, local vendors, a raffle, and live music at the Warm Springs Preserve in Ketchum. Catch a free shuttle from the Greyhawk or YMCA parking lots, parking is not available on-site (shuttles are dog-friendly!) 4-10 p.m.
- Sun Valley Wine Auction: June 27 – 30
- The Sun Valley Wine Auction provides approximately 50% of the Sun Valley Museum of Art’s annual income. This multi-day event features Vintner Dinners, cooking demonstrations, a Wine Walk, and the main event, the Auction itself. For tickets and more information visit sunvalleywineauction.org.
- Sawtooth Valley Gathering: June 22 – 25

- SVMOA Summer Concert with Elle King: June 25
- Sun Valley Museum of Art (SVMOA) presents Elle King with Michigan Rattlers for an outdoor summer concert. For tickets and info visit svmoa.org. The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Sun Valley Pavilion.
Best of July
- Ballet Sun Valley: July 1-2
- For the first time in 40 years, Ballet Sun Valley will be the first stop on a national tour for the Dutch National Ballet. DNB will perform two entirely different programs at the Sun Valley Pavilion that include works by choreographers Hans van Manen, William Forsythe and Wubkje Kuindersma. - Days of the Old West Rodeo and Fourth of July Parade
- The city of Hailey and the Wood River Valley Chamber of Commerce put on a Fourth of July like no other! Starting with the Sawtooth Rangers Days of the Old West Rodeo from July 2-4, this big little rodeo has mutton bustin’, bull riding, and barrel racing fun! Tickets are pre-sold online and through the Chamber office at sawtoothrangers.org.
- The Fourth of July Celebration Parade starts at noon with entries marching down Main Street in Hailey. If you want to be in the parade or sponsor it, visit valleychamber.orgfor more. End the day with incredible fireworks starting at dusk (a little after 9 p.m.) in the skies above Hailey, from Wood River High School.
- Sun Valley Gallery Association Gallery Walk: July 7 and Aug. 4
- Each year the Sun Valley Gallery Association hosts gallery walks to take in exhibitions of newly installed art and meet the artists. The walks take place 5-7:30 p.m. Visit svgalleries.orgfor more
- Ketchum Arts Festival: July 14-16
- An annual celebration of arts and artists in Idaho. Peruse many styles of art while enjoying great food and drink. There is a free activity area for kids while you shop. Festival Meadow, Sun Valley Road. For more info Ketchumartsfestival.com
- Sawtooth Festival: July 15-16
- Come and enjoy more than 75 vendors, live music, and small-town hospitality at the Sawtooth Festival. Visit stanleycc.orgfor more
- Sun Valley Tour de Force: July 22
- The Sun Valley Tour de Force is a weekend for all car lovers, where the events include scenic drives, curated car shows, sponsor and live auctions, and Cars & Comedy. Funds go towards The Hunger Coalition, For more info times visit sunvalleytourdeforce.com
- Sun Valley Writers’ Conference: July 22 – 24
- Come listen and connect with writers from all genres from Pulitzer Prize winners, to poets and novelists at the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference. Visit svwc.comfor more.

- Blaine County Fair: Aug. 1-8
- Come enjoy the Blaine County Fair with several days featuring a Western horse show, archery contests, pony show, ATV rodeo, barn dance, Dutch oven cook-off, kids rodeo, and more! For the full schedule visit co.blaine.id.us/1013/County-Fair.
- Braun Brothers Reunion: Aug. 10-12
- Three days of music and fun in the mountains of Challis. The Braun Brothers are known for some of the best Americana, Texas Country, and bluegrass music. Tickets are available online at braunbrothersreunion.com.
- Sun Valley Arts and Crafts Festival: Aug. 11-13
- The 54th annual Sun Valley Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at Atkinson Park in Ketchum. This festival is an outdoor, juried arts and crafts show featuring more than 100 professional artists. Visit sunvalleyartsandcraftsfestival.com.
- Killebrew-Thompson Golf Tournament: Aug. 17 19
- A three-day affair showcasing the best of Sun Valley. The traditional event lineup includes an Idaho Welcome BBQ, Live & Silent Auction Gala, Concert for a Cure, and outdoor activities that include fly fishing, sport shooting, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting. - Artists Summer Studio Tour: Aug. 18-19
- The pace will be leisurely, with time for visitors to discuss techniques and inspiration with the artists and choose a special piece with a meaningful story. It is also a great time to introduce the younger generation to professional artists. Visit artiststudiotour.com.
- Rebecca’s Private Idaho: Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
- This world-class cycling event will return to the gravel and roads around Sun Valley and Ketchum. There are several rides scheduled, for more info visit rebeccasprivateidaho.com.
- Wagon Days: September 2-4
- The summer isn’t over until Wagon Days roll through downtown Ketchum. The weekend is a tradition for locals and tourists that love Cowboy Poetry, the pancake breakfast by the Papoose Club, the kids activity area, a street party with live music, and the Big Hitch Parade with the incredible wagons and carriages that parade down Main Street at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Free Music Events
- Mahoney’s Summer Concert Series: June 16 – Sept 7
- Come down and dance at these Thursday night concerts beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Mahoney’s on Main Street in Bellevue. Different bands each week offer something for everyone.
- Jazz in the Park: June 18 – July 23
- Spend your summer Sunday evenings enjoying a host of Jazz performances in the peaceful surroundings of Rotary Park on Warm Springs Road in Ketchum. Bring your low-back chair and picnics. 6-8 p.m.
- Ketch’em Alive: June 27 – August 15
- Weekly concerts every Tuesday at Ketchum’s Forest Service Park. Bring a low-back chair or blanket and claim your spot for an evening of dancing and relaxing with the whole family. Bring a picnic or grab food from a local vendor. The show starts at 7 p.m.6-8 p.m.
- Wicked Wednesday: June -Aug
- A family-friendly Wednesday night concert series and fundraising event for local non-profits. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Wicked Spud on Main Street in Hailey.
- Hailey Live: June 29 -Aug 24
- Thursday night concerts to get you up on your feet and dancing under the summer evening skies. Live music, food, beer vendors, a bike valet, and more. Hosted by Sawtooth Brewery at Hop Porter Park in Hailey from 6:30-9 p.m.
- River Run Summer Series: July 26 – August 30
- Wednesday night is fun with live music, lawn games, food, and drinks on the River Run lawn at the base of Baldy. Extended lift operations during the event with ticket sales partially benefiting local non-profits. 5-8 p.m.
- Sun Valley Music Festival: July 30 – August 24
- This annual favorite returns to the Sun Valley Pavilion at Sun Valley Resort for another season of compelling, free local symphony concerts. Performances range from classical to contemporary. The concert schedule can be found at svmusicfestival.org. 6:30 p.m.
